Hemagon at Uiva 2025

Wet Socks, Bright Lights, and Familiar Smiles

The Uiva Boat Festival in Lauttasaari, Helsinki is a summer tradition we wouldn’t miss for the world—even if the world decides to throw thunder and rain at us on setup day.

This year, our crew rolled in on Tuesday to kick off the electrical grid installation for the event. The skies? Not exactly welcoming. Heavy rain, rumbling thunder, and a very wet harbor greeted us. Even the sea looked like it needed a towel. 🌧️🌊

Our original plan was to set up a cozy hammock camp by the water—because why not mix work with a little seaside chill? But with everything soaked (including our socks), that dream is officially on hold. Hammocks and lightning don’t mix.

Despite the soggy start, the event itself has been a hit. Boats, sunshine (eventually), and plenty of familiar faces. We’ve been part of Uiva for over ten years now, and it’s always a joy to help bring the festival to life—one cable and distribution board at a time.

Big shoutout to Cramo for the rental gear that keeps the current flowing. And to everyone who stopped by to say hi—you make the wet boots worth it.

Here’s to another successful year at sea level. ⚓
